Ferdinand Andre Wise, 73, of Birmingham, died Aug. 31, 2000 at his home.
Services were held Sunday at Mountain Brook Baptist Church in Mountain Brook, AL., with interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
A native of Hazlehurst, he was the son of the late John Durr and Sigrid Andre Wise. He was an air force veteran of World War II and a certified public accountant. He was a retired owner of Perfection Metal and Supply co. of Birmingham. He was a graduate of Mississippi State where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and moved to Birmington in 1967 to work with Sonat (Southern Natural Gas Co.). He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Joyce Hennington Wise.
Survivors include wife, Elizabeth Hinote Wise; sons, Joe Hennington Wise of San Jose, CA. and James Andre Wise of Birmingham; daughters, Helen Wise Pardue of Birmingham; step daughters; Jobeth Buell of Tallahassee and Jacque Simmons of Hendersonville, TN; stepson, Michael Hammock of St. Cloud, FL.; brother, John Durr Wise, Jr. of Tuscaloosa; 4 grandchildren; 3 stepgrandchildren, and a great grandchild.
