Funeral services for Betty Lanelle Prestridge Vierhout, of Amite, La., formerly of Bogue Chitto, are 1 p.m. on Friday, April 8, at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, with burial in Briar Patch Cemetery in Husser, La.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Tim Allred is officiating.
Mrs. Vierhout, 70, died April 4, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County on April 3, 1941, to Clifford Lee and Jessie Lee Johnson Prestridge.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Connie Vierhout; her brother, Marvin Prestridge; and her sister, Charlotte Fitts.
Survivors are her son Parrish Brown and his wife, Jill, of Hammond, La.; her brother, Larry Prestridge and his wife, Frances, of Gonzales, La.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Glidden of Reserve, La., Michael Olsen and Wesley Brown, both of Hammond; her great-grandchildren, Devin Collins, Victoria Glidden and Alex Glidden.
