Darrell A. Blake, 67, of Belvidere, Illinois died Sunday afternoon, March 12, 2006 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Darrell was born October 29, 1938 in Boone County, IL the son of Gilbert and Blanche (Whitney) Blake. Over the years he worked as a machinist for Parson's Casket Hardware and currently was tending bar for the Belvidere Moose Lodge where he was a member. Darrell enjoyed bowling in his spare time.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Donald (Elaine) Blake of Byron, Il, Dale (Betty) Blake of Belvidere, Doris (LaVerne) Peterson of Rockford, Darwin (Donna) Blake of Belvidere, IL, Darlene Johns of Belvidere, David (Muriel) Blake of Roscoe, IL and many nieces and nephews.
Darrell is predeceased by his parents and brother, Derwood Blake.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2006 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Illinois with Dr. Robert Kopp, pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Private burial in Belvidere Cemetery.
