Baker Holman, 75, of Pensacola, FL, died Friday, June 25, 1999.

Born in Montgomery, AL, on August 2, 1923, Baker resided in Pensacola since 1952. He was a former teacher and member of the Curriculum Staff for the Escambia County School District, an inactive Deacon of Warrington Presbyterian Church, and presently a member of the Pinewoods Presbyterian Church. He was the recipient of the Exchange Club Teacher of the Year Award and designated as a Florida Star Teacher in 1965.

He is survived by is loving wife, Patricia Box Holman; two sons, Ricky B Holman of Dothan, AL, and Kent (Michelle) Holman of Columbus, GA; one daughter, Dina H (Tony) Rush of Louisville, AL; grandchildren, Michael Tucker of Carrollton, GA; Kristy, Lori, Jessica, and Kate Holman, all of Columbus, GA, and Abigail Rush of Louisville, AL; and one step-grandson, Justin Pollock of Columbus, GA.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, July 1, 1999, at Barancas National Cemetery, with Pasto John Findlay of Pinewoods Presbyterian Church, officiating, assisted by Pastor Robert Hornick, of Warrington Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pinewoods Presbyterian Church, Cantonment, FL, or to Palmer Home for Children, Columbus, MS, in memory of Bake Holman.
