Mary E Cantrell, widow of David Cantrell, passed away at 7o'clock yesterday morning in the hospital at the State Soldiers home. She was the victim of cancer and had been confined to the hospital for the past six months. Mrs. Cantrell was born on April 13, 1845, in Marion County, Ohio and had been a resident of Indiana for almost fifty years. The greater part of her life was spent near Dayton. She was a member of the Dayton Methodist church and was a respected citizen. She was a kind mother, devoted to her home and was admired by many friends. She leaves the following children: George and Frank Cantrell of Dayton and Mrs. Nora Shockley [Shockey] of South Raub. The remains will be taken to Dayton for funeral and burial.
