East Prairie - Earnest Cranford, 61 years old, died at 9:15 this morning in his home here, following an extensive illness. He was born Feb. 10, 1909, in East Prairie, where he had lived his entire life. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was employed as an interior decorator until ill health forced retirement.
On Aug. 18, 1936, he married the former Miss Aline Priest, who survives. Other survivors are two brothers, Ab Cranford, Hilo, Hawii, and Arie Cranford, state of California, and a sister, Mrs. Tommy Langston, Paducah, Ky.
The body is at the McMikle Funeral Home in East Prairie where friends may call after 6 tonight. Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 in the McMikle Chapel with Grandy Reeves, minister of the East Prairie Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the W.O.W Cemetery in East Prairie.
