Mrs. Melton, a former resident of Texas and New Mexico, had lived in the Wildfork community in Mobile County before entering the nursing facility.
She attended Coleman Assembly of God Church in Wildfork.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Melton of Wildfork; three brothers, Harvey Bailey of Frisco City, and Bill Bailey and Shorty Bailey, both of Mobile; two sisters, Ethel Stinson of Frisco City and Faye Guy of Mobile; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home in Monroeville. The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Coleman Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Wildfork
