MUNCIE--Phyllis Jo McGinnis, 70, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at the Renaissance Specialty Hospital in Muncie. A native and lifelong resident of Muncie, she was born December 2, 1937, the daughter of Chester and Vernia (Morehead) Blair, and attended Royerton Schools.
She retired from Ball State University where she was employed for seventeen years.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-two years, Paul McGinnis; two children, Don (wife: Linda) and Jackie McGinnis; two sisters, Vickie Shelds (husband: Gene) and Loretta Blair; three grandkids, and four great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Paul McGinnis, Jr.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Bob Ewert officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
