Patricia Beadle
Patricia Beadle (nee Markey), 82, of Cranford passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 26, 2008.
Born on July 11, 1926, and raised in Cranford, Pat was one of seven children. She is survived by sisters, Mary Joan and Eileen, and brother, James.
She graduated from Cranford High School in 1944 and went on to St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1947. She continued in the profession for the next 60-plus years, the last 40 as an ER nurse at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth.
Pat married her high school sweetheart, Edward Beadle, in 1947 and lived in Cranford, where they raised their five children, Edward Jr., Patricia, Thomas, Cathleen and James, 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Pat was an extraordinary woman who lived a full life. Her family meant everything to her. To simply see her made one better. To talk with her made one happier. To spend time with her made one appreciative. To have her around for your lifetime makes one understand how to live life, become a better person, be happy and appreciative, and enjoy life. She was someone who taught you how to hit a baseball, ride a bike, write a paper, and tell a joke. Pat was someone who was a wife, a mother and grandmother, a great-grandmother, a sister, a nurse, a friend, a homemaker. She was all those things to so many people.
Services were held on Nov. 28, at Dooley's Funeral Home in Cranford. A Mass of Christian Burial was held the following day at St. Michael's Church in Cranford.
