"wife of Chas Alford died at her home near the ball park Tuesday, she having been stricken with paralysis the day before. The funeral was held Wednesday. It being necessary owing to the nature of the decease to have the body intered as quickly as possible. Mrs. Alford had resided in this city a number of years having been married here nineteen years ago. She was 43 years of age and left no family."
