Services for Former Clarndan Pending Arrival of Body Here

Funeral services will be held here for I. R. Morgan, former Clarinda electrician who died at Napa, Calif, earlier this week.

The funeral will be set when the remains arrive here by air from California. The body was expected to arrive at Omaha, Neb, this Thursday, but the Walker Funeral Home had received no notification by early afternoon of the arrival.

Morgan, who is credited with wiring the original canopy of Christmas lights here, had been staying with his children at Napa near San Francisco, where they work in a state institution. A son, Gilbert, of Hastings Neb is here and when a daughter arrives from Austin, Minn, the services will be set.

Date and time for funeral may be ascertained by phoning the Walker Funeral Home here.

Dies in San Juan

Ervin R. Morgan, 80 year old native of Iowa, died suddenly last night at the home of his daugher. Mrs. Dorothy Lund of San Juan Bautista.

He had been in failing health since a stroke two years ago.

He was a member of the Odd Fellow' Lodge of Clarinda, Iowa.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Betty Thomsen of Hayward, Mrs. Helen Hansen of Pittsburg, Mrs. Juanita Howells of Austin, Minnesota, and Mrs. Dorothy Lund of San Juan Bautista; three sons, Jack Morgan of Pendleton, Oregon, Clifford Morgan of Austin, Minnesota, and Gilbet Morgan of Hastings, Nebraska; 17 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services under the direction of Black-
Copper-Ottensen mortuary are pending.
