Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Norman H. Shepherd, 91, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 14, 2011 at Culbertson Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Parish with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating. Military honors will follow the graveside ceremony.
Mr. Shepherd died on November 10, 2011 in West Monroe. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Shepherd served in the United States Army Air Corps. He retired from OlinKraft. Mr. Shepherd enjoyed deer hunting and swinging a golf club. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Ellen Shepherd; four sons, Mike Shepherd (Pam), Gerald Shepherd (Lillian), Richard Shepherd (Luann) and Joe Shepherd (Beth); 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shepherd's grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sonny Fitzgerald and Rev. Jonathan Finley.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
