Born Aug. 23, 1909 in Clark Township, Montgomery County, he was the son of Wilburn Long Sr. and Merttie Powers.
A retired farmer, he had served in the U.S. Army in World War II for 32 months in the field artillery as an
operator of portable generators in Hawaii.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois Jane Long, Ladoga, and Ama Burkhart, Troy, Ohio; three brothers, David and
Elbin P. Long, Ladoga, and Joseph Long, New Market; an uncle, an aunt and other relatives.
Services are set for 2p.m. Wednesday at Haw Creek Church of Christ with Bro. Keith Chitwood officiating. Burial will be in Ladoga Cemetery.
Calling is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Services and Morgan Funeral Home, Ladoga.
