Elizabeth Allmann Hoffmann

Elizabeth, widow of the late Fred Hoffmann, died on Wednesday, March 17, at home 2 1/2 miles east of here in the town of Lima, aged 71 years. Mrs. Hoffmann's maiden name was Allman and when only eight years of age she came from Germany with her parents and settled in an early day in the town of Lima, where she married Mr. Hoffmann, who died about sixteen years ago. Eight children survive as follows: Jacob of Medford; John, of Marshfield, Mrs. F. Bauer, of Lyndon; Mrs. L. Miller of Sherman; Mrs. C. Hoehne, of Plymouth; Fred and George of Lima and William at home. There are also twenty-five grand children and eight great grand children. The funeral took place Saturday afternoon, the Rev. George Wildermuth, of Sheboygan Falls, officiating. Interment in th Onion River cemetery.

Marie Elisabeth Allmann was the daughter of Adam Allmann and Sophia Petrie and the third of seven children. Her family first emigrated from Sien, Prussia, Germany to the USA in 1846 and then moved to Sheboygan County, Wisconsin in 1851.
