Alfred Padgham was the son of John Padgham and Mary Ann Parker. He came to Australia and married Betsey Hobson on 4th May 1863.
He died in 1898 after drowning in the Yarra River near Richmond, Victoria, Australia. An inquest was held into his death and it was found that he slipped whilst walking along the bank of the river and fell in and drowned.
