Adolph A. Schnell, 68, of 526 Summitt St., Plymouth, died Monday at 12:50 a.m. at the Plymouth Hospital after becoming ill at his home a short time before.

Born July 14, 1887, in the town of Eaton, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Schnell, he was married to Miss Anna Wetzel at the Bethlehem Reformed Church in the town of Schleswig on Sept. 30, 1914. Following their marriage they resided in Kiel and Sheboygan Falls before coming to Plymouth 36 years ago. He was employed at the Plymouth Utilities for 17 years before his retirement in 1955. He was a member of the Bethlehem Reformed Church in the town of Schleswig.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Clinton (Madeline) Brott of Plymouth; three grandchildren; a brother, William, of Kiel; and a sister, Mrs. Albert Wetzel of Plymouth. His parents, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. Harold Ley, pastor of Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church officiating. Burial will be made in the Union Cemetery.
