There is a slight discrepancy between birth years on Ada's Social Security Death Index record (1916) and her marker (1917). According to that SSDI record, Ada's final residence was at Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa.

Services for Ada Jenkins, 69, of 415V2 Pine St., will be 1 p.m. Monday at Corinthian Baptist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. She died Wednesday (March 25) at her residence. Cause of death was not available.

Born June 15, 1917, in Goodman, Miss., she was the daughter of Will 0. Carr and Elizabeth Stingley. She married Chalres Harmon and they were later divorced. She married Allen Jenkins and he died in 1979.

Survivors include three sons, Charlie Harmon and Herman Harm- on, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rosco Harmon of Waterloo; six daughters, Hattie Harmon, Stelia Epps, Susie Harmon, Frances Phillips and Bettie Harmon, all of Waterloo, and Carrie Buckley of Champaign, HI.; a brother, Will O. Carr Jr. of Waterloo; five sisters, Polly Howard, Elizabeth Carson, Bertha Pearson, Susie Scott and Mary Anderson, all of Waterloo; 22 grandchildren; and a great-grand- child; she was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Monday. Memorials may be directed to the family. Waterloo Courier
