Born in Parksville a son of Stephen M Sprague and Eunice Krum.
Newspaper writer. For a number of years he was associated with his brother, Clarence A in editing and publishing the Liberty Register.
Married first in June 1894 to Mary Millspaugh, and from that union survives a daughter, Laverne wife of Newell Griffith of White House Station, NY
In May 1914 he married Alice Miller of Fair Oaks and settled on a farm there.
Besides his widow and the daughter named above he leaves a brother, Justice Fred Sprague of Liberty and a sister Mrs Jessie Potter also of Liberty.
Bearers at the funeral were 5 sons of a deceased brother, Herman Sprauge - Stephen, Herbert, Merton, Leslie and Clifford - who are now running the Liberty Gazette, founded by their father about 50 years ago
