Son of Colonel Johannes Geradus Hardenbergh and Maria DuBois. Col. Johannes Geradus Hardenbergh. He was born on July 28, 1706 in Kingston Ulster County, New York, and he died around 1786 in Rosendale, Ulster County, New York. The colonel was the son of Major Johannes Geradus Hardenbergh and Catherine Rutsen.

Marriage:
He married Dena Van Berg.

He was a zealous Preacher of the Gospel
and his life and Conversation
Afforded from his Earliest days
To all who knew him
a bright example
of real piety
He was a steady Patriot and in his
public and private conduct
He manifested himself to be
The Enemy of Tyranny & oppression.
The lover of freedom and the
Friend of his Country
He is gone to his Lord and Redeemer.
In whole atonement he
Confidently Trusted
He is gone to receive the fruits of
his faithful labours.

well spent life.
Reader while you lament the loss
To Society and to his friends
Go and walk in his virtuous footsteps
and when you have finished
The work assigned you
You shall rest with him in
