Carson was a man who truly believed in service. He served in the U.S. Army Corps during World War II, and later, in the Veterans of Foreign Wasrs, Post# 10165, Cameron Park. An excellent cook, he enjoyed cooking for many different events, especially dinners that featured his chicken pot pie. He also enjoyed reating baby food from his organic garden while tending his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and vacationing by car, andws an avid bowler, as well as having a gift for water witching. He served as a lamplighter for the Federated Church. A painter for 48 years, he worked as a painting foreman for Walter Blumert Painting.
