Dorothy Rebecca (Taylor) Jensen was born July 7, 1917 in Picabo, Idaho, to Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (White) Taylor and John Richard Taylor.

She died November 14, 2011 at Plantation Place Assisted Living.

She was raised in Emmett, Idaho and graduated from Emmett High School and attended Links Business School.

She married Bert Andrew Jensen July 8, 1935 and moved to Boise where she lived the rest of her life. She and Bert endured the Depression, death of their first child, and Bert's enlistment in the Navy during WWII. They worked hard, made this country a better place and raised a family.

After a 30 year career, she retired from the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles. She loved her family and friends.

She was young for her age and was jet skiing until she was almost 90. She loved the Big Band music, Perry Como, and many travels with Bert. She baked delicious pies, remembered birthdays, had kind words and was a sweet person with a good heart. She knew where she was going when she died and she was looking forward to it.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnne (Charles) Wilson; daughter-in-law, Suzie Wilson; grandsons: Drew Wilson and Robert Wilson; five great-grandchildren who called her "GG": Katie, Annie, Nicholas, Jennifer and Ryan; nephew, Darrell (Jo) Wray; Barbara (Marvin) Merrick; sister-in-law, Evelyn Evans; Michelle Wilson; and her many friends at Plantation Place.

She was preceded in death by first child, Judith; her parents; sister, Pearl Wray; brothers, Richard and Clifford Taylor; niece, Jean Scarborough; nephew, Lloyd Taylor; sister-in-law, Maxine Cantrell; husband, Floyd; brothers-in-law, J. Ferrell (Doris) Jensen, wife, Elwin (Mona) Jensen; mother-in-law, Isabel Curl; father-in-law, John Henry Jensen; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A graveside service at Morris Hill Cemetery will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17, 2011.
