Margaret J. "Peggy" (Boever) Larson, 76, of Marcus passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at her home.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, with the Rev. Armand Bertrand officiat-ing. Inurnment will be in the Holy Name Parish Cemetery, Marcus. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church, one hour prior to Peggy's service. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family on the http://www.mauerjohnsonfh.com/ website.

Margaret Jean Larson, the daughter of Geraldine (Dickson) and John P. Boever, was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Marcus. She graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School in Marcus.

Peggy, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was an organized and immaculate homemaker. Her home emulated her creative talents of precisionally made sewing and crafts items. Peggy also delighted in shopping, reading, playing games of chance at area casinos, and over the years, caring for pet dogs.

Throughout her adult life, Peggy was employed at various businesses as a secretary including Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Sioux City, and Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa.

Peggy was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and Holy Name Women's Guild in Marcus.

She is survived by her 10 siblings, John and Dorothy Boever of Dell Rapids, S.D., Richard "Dick" and Carol Boever of Remsen, Iowa, Kathleen and Jerry Galles of Ardmore, Okla., Gail and Karen Boever of Battlefield, Mo., Sherri Willis of Fresco, Texas, Tim and Kathy Boever of Bloomington, Minn., Steve and Julie Boever of Hartley, Iowa, Julie and Pete Mundell of Corpus Christi, Texas, DeAnna and Jim Beck of Sutherland, Iowa, and Mary and Art Ewoldt of Story City, Iowa; her sister-in-law, Ann (Jerry) Hansen of Sioux City; her special cousin, Ron Bohlke; special friend, Sue Petersen; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Preceding Peggy in death are her parents; her infant sister, Mary Boever; and her brother, Norbert "Nubs" Boever.
