Mrs. Brick was born June 26, 1895, in the Town of Newtonburg, Wisconsin, daughter of the alte August and Wilhemine Kieselhorst Lippert. She grew up and was educated at Newtonburg. Mrs. Brick was baptized August 4, 1895 and confirmed May 4, 1909 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. She married Adolph C. Brick on September 19, 1917 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, by Rev. Karl Toepel. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in September of 1967. He preceded her in death March 9, 1974. Mrs. Brick was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide of the church. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Delmar C. and Ione E. Brick, Elroy H. and Ione J. Brick, all of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Nona Celia of Paramus, New Jersey, Lois Brick of Denver, Colorado, Mary Spain of Springfield, Virginia, Marge Jehle of Manitowoc, James Brick of DePere; eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Hedwig Luebke.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Tuesday and Wednesday at the church after 10 a.m. and until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
