John Thomas Scopes school board Chairman-F.E.Robinson also known as "Doc" or the "Hustling Druggest" was the owner and operator of Robinson's Drug Store located on Main Street in Dayton.Robinson,George W Rappleyea,Sue K Hicks and Walter White all sat around a small round table and devised a plan to put Dayton on the map by accepting an offer of the A.C.L.U in a Chattanooga newspaper to finance a test case in reference to the newly passed Tennessee law on evolution.As a result of the table discussion teacher John Thomas Scopes was arrested,tried and went down in history.Besides being a pharmacist Robinson was Chairman of the Rhea County School Board.
