Funeral services were held for Jack A. Danner Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church. Rev. Harold Duncan officiated and Coronado Lodge was in charge at the cemetery.
J.A. Danner was born June 16, 1906, in Macon County, Missouri, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Danner. He passed away at Raton, N.M. July 4 at the age of 43 years and 18 days.
He came to Colorado in March 1928 and has made the Del Norte community his home for the past 21 years.
On September 29, 1928, he was united in marriage to Miss Clara Schrader. To this union seven children were born—four sons and three daughters. One son, Donald, is deceased.
He united with the Baptist Church in March of this year.
He engaged in farming and ranching in the district, was a hard-working, friendly man. He had many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Clara, three sons, Raymond, Allan, and Larry; three daughters, Mrs. Jean Lovett, Juanita and Linda; his father and mother of Atlanta, Missouri; one brother, James, of Atlanta; three sisters, Genevieve Stark, Del Norte, Imogene Prather, Canon City, and Anna Jennings, of Atlanta. One sister, Dorothy Riley is deceased.
