Born May 26, 1942 in New Brighton was the son of the late Hugh and Elvira Rowan and was a manager for Bentley TV in Beaver Falls and most recently a salesperson for Charapp Ford in Pittsburgh. He was a member of St. Philomena R.C. Church Beaver Falls, had played basketball for Youngstown State University and was active in many social clubs in the area.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and William Rowan; and a nephew William Rowan, Jr.
Surviving are a daughter, Kristin Robertson, Imperial, PA ; a son, Matthew Rowan and his wife Jung Soon Kim, Coraopolis, PA; two grandchildren, Billy Robertson and Meadow Robertson; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Bonnie Rowan, New Brighton; former wife Janet Bentley Rowan, Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Campbell's New Brighton Funeral Home, www.campbellfuneralhome.com, 1133 Penn Avenue were a Blessing Service will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Father James Farnan officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hill Memorial Park.
