Wesley Shaw

Mr. Wesley Shaw, 73, of Whitney, died early Saturday morning, June 1, 1985 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, June 3, 1985 at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Curtis McGehee and Rev. Curtis Brandon officiating. Burial was in the Whitney Cemetery.
Mr. Shaw was a lifetime resident of Whitney. He was born in Whitney on Oct. 18, 1911 and was the son of John William and Willie Essary Shaw. He and Lorene Ince were married May 26, 1929 and she died May 11, 1983. He was water superintendent for the City of Whitney before his retirement. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Whitney.
Survivors include; 3 sons, Audrey Shaw of Hillsboro, Fred Shaw of Saginaw and Chesley Shaw of Hurst; 5 daughters, Helen Erwin of Vidor, Nell Moore of Garrison, Lometa Edwards of Red Oak, Linda Everly of Grand Prairie and Maxine Roeder of Hillsboro; 1 brother, Herman Shaw of Houston; 4 sister; Mrs. Hollis Erwin and Mrs. Eunice Cappers both of Hillsboro, Mrs. Lizzie Mae Erwin of Ft. Worth and Mrs. Irene Hill of Aquilla; 14 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildrenl.
