Mrs V.B. Knight of Stillwell Dies Tuesday
Warsaw, Ill. - Mrs. Amanda Ethel Knight of Stillwell died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital at Carthage. She lived in Warsaw most of her life and moved to Stillwell only a year ago. Born February 20, 1887 in Tennessee, Ill. she was the daughter of John P. and Mary Dorethy Wood. On June 29, 1903 she married Van Buren Knight in Kahoka, Mo.
Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Allene (John) Davis of Elvaston, Mrs. Grace (Loren) Queen of Charleston, S.C., and Mrs. Imogene (Virgil) Symmonds and Mrs. Evelyn (Truman) Phillips of Warsaw, 28 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, a brother Vern Wood and two sisters, Mrs. Maretta Young and Mrs. Mabel Rodgers, all of San Francisco.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Bradfield Memorial Chapel with the Rev. R. W. Schaible of West Point officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Valley cemetery.
