LIMESTONE – Jeffery L. "Bucky" Montgomery, 68, husband of Mrs. Tamrah L. (Tinker) Montgomery, passed away Wednesday evening, Nov. 16, 2011, at a Presque Isle health care facility, after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Fort Fairfield, son of Josiah and Madeline (Hamilton) Montgomery.

He was educated in the Limestone school system, and had been employed for several years at the former A & P Processing Plant, Fort Fairfield, as well as several area farmers. He was married to Tamrah L. Tinker, Sept. 13, 1984.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Montgomery was predeceased by one brother, Hobert Montgomery; and two sisters, Faye Phillips and Leversa Collins.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tamrah of Limestone; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott L. and Cindy Montgomery of Caribou; two daughters, Brenda L. LeBlanc of Portland and Demerese E. Montgomery of Limestone; two sisters, Edna Obar of South Carolina and Shirley Degies of Chelmsford, Mass.; six grandchildren, Heather Montgomery, Stephanie Coussens, Samantha Sheffield, Christopher Montgomery, all of Caribou, Casandra LeBlanc and Zachary Smith, both of Portland; and two great-grandsons, Riley Coussens and Owen Tetlow, both of Caribou. He also leaves behind his former wife and mother of his two eldest children, Francis Coutts of Limestone; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many card-playing friends.

The committal service will be held at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou. (Bangor Daily News posted 11/17/2011)
