Services for Ann Stracener Clayton will be at 3:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, with the Revs. Fred E. Robertson and Lys Cockrell officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens.

Clayton, 83, of Alexandria died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, in Dubuis Hospital for Continuing Care.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of Horseshoe Drive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe Stracener and Mary Evelyn Higginbotham Stracener; seven brothers, James Monroe Stracener Jr., Edward Stracener, Vernon Stracener, Marvin Stracener, Douglas Stracener, Nealon Stracener and Byrl Stracener; six sisters, Martha S. Harper, Liza S. Harper, Ethyl S. Harper, Ruth S. Haynes, Estelle S. Carron and Della S. Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Harry D. "Dutch" Clayton of Alexandria; three sons, Harry Dorman Clayton of Alexandria, Dr. Ronnie Wayne Clayton of Pineville and Gary Edward Clayton of Dallas; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harry Clayton Jr., Ron Clayton Jr., Jim Clayton, Douglas Stracener , Richard Stracener and Randy Toups.

Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.
