Arthur W. Gibney, 72, of 168 North Main Street, a retired foreman in the Perry Knitting Company, died Thursday, April 11, in the Wyoming County Hospital in Warsaw. He had been ill of a heart ailment for several months.
Mr. Gibney was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, the Perry Moose Lodge, and the Holy Name Society.
He was born on December 29, 1890, in Java Center, a son of William and Bridget Carrol Gibney.
Surviving are his widow, the former Thelma McGonegal, and two nephews, Gerald and Lawrence Gibney.
A Mass of Requiem was sung at 10:00 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Church, Rev. J. McNamara officiating. Burial was in Java Center.
