Drowned at Ludington
Lester Christiansen, the son of Capt. Christiansen of this city was drowned at Ludington Tuesday.

The deceased nine years old. He was taking a trip with his father on his father's schooner the Jessie Martin. He started out to call his father to dinner and it is supposed he fell from the dock. When missed a search was instituted and finally his hat was seen floating on the water. The life saving crew dragged the river and finally recovered the body. The body must have been in the water about three hours.

The remains were brought here Tuesday evening on the Pere Marquette and were interred this afternoon.

The child was of a very amiable disposition and was loved by his playmates and idolized by his parents.

Lester Christiansen, son of Captain Charles Christiansen of this city, was drowned at Ludington on Monday last.

He was a bright boy, ten years old and on Sunday crossed the lake on his father's boat, the Jessie Martin. His father went up town leaving the little boy on board in company of the cook. It is not known how the child fell in.

The body was located by the hat's floating on the water. It took three hours to recover it. The body was brought here Tuesday night.
