SETH IRA SUTHERLAND
Funeral services were held at Wolfe Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Seth Ira Sutherland, 87, who died at the Dennis Nursing Home in Atlantic, Sunday.
The Rev. Everett H. Staats of Methodist Church was in charge of the services and interment was Nodaway Cemetery. Wolfe Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Seth Ira Sutherland, son of Sylvester and Marilla Sutherland was born in Putnam, Illinois, January 19, 1865. He was married to Nancy Louisa Wallace March 14, 1894 and to this union six children were born, two preceding him in death. In 1906 he wasmarried to Maggie McKown of Nodaway and to this union was born one son.
Survivors include three sons, Ira and Lou, Denver, Colorado and Roy, Des Moines, two daughters, Retta, Council Bluffs, and May of Lewis, Iowa, two sisters and one brother.
