Jerrell Odell Alexander, age 66, of Mauldin, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002.
Born Sept. 12, 1936, in Greenville, Mr. Alexander was the son of John Odell and Gaynell Glasco Alexander.
Mr. Alexander worked for the Gower Corporation for 43 years, and was Vice President of Human Affairs until his death. He was an active member of Mauldin United Methodist Church for 38 years, and was an active member of the Paladin Club of Furman University.
Preceded in death is his father, John Odell Alexander.
Surviving are his wife, Eloise, of the home; mother, Gaynell Alexander; and daughters, Robyn Brock and husband Buddy, of Mount Juliet, Tenn., Jaye Leo and husband Conrad, of Greenwood, Julie Sellars, Susan Alexander, Kelly Johnson and husband Mark, Amy Farmer and husband Michael, all of Greenville.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Dawn Brock McKinney and husband Justin, of Lebanon, Tenn., Caleb Brock of Mount Juliet, Tenn., Joey Leo and Sally Leo, both of Greenwood, and Carman Sellars, Caroline Sellars, Quinlyn Sellars, Colin Johnson, Clay Johnson, Landon Johnson, Madison Farmer and Alec Farmer, all of Greenville.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, at 3 o'clock, at Mauldin United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Temple and the Rev. George Scott officiating. A private interment will be held at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 o'clock today at The Mackey Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mauldin United Methodist Church, 100 E. Butler Ave. Mauldin, SC 29662. - The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
