Mrs. Kathie Walker, age 61 a devoted wife, mother and
grandmother passed away Friday November 11, 2011 at
her residence. The California native had lived in Glennville
most of her life. She was a US Army Veteran and previously
was the seafood manager in the Hinesville Walmart. She was
also employed for 21 years at the Glenvue Nursing Home. She
loved knitting and putting puzzles together. Mrs. Walker was a
member of Calvary Baptist Church and was preceded in death
by her parents, Howard Edgar and Pearl Singleton.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas O. "Man" Walker of Glennville;
Son, Michael Barrentine of Brunswick; Daughter and son-in-law, Michael
and Kimberly Archambault of Rye Patch; Brothers, Jim Singleton of Washington,
Rick Edgar of California, Steve Edgar of California; Sisters, Lisa Singleton of Oregon,
Carol Mcloud of California, Nina Endicot of California; Grandchildren Sean Patrick
Archambault, Ashley Caylor, Kristen Cason; Sister-in-laws, Mary Moody and Rita
Walker both of Ludowici, Myrtle Williams of Metter, Pauline Huber and Molly Logan
both of Glennville, Lois Bryant of Eden and Mildred Strickland of Pooler;
Brothers-in-laws, Freeman Walker of Jesup, Roy Walker, C.H. "Bud" Blocker and
Nolin C. Walker all of Glennville. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday from the Glennville Chapel
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the Chapel

Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the GA Veterans Memorial
Cemetery with military honors.
