Harmon Pratt DeFee....Son of John L. DeFee and Isabella DeFee nee Baygents...Harmon married Sidney Frances "Bendy" Fonville 17 Dec 1868, Pike County, Ala...Harmon was a farmer in Ala. and continued farming after moving to Texas about 1870. Harmon also served in Company E, First Alabama Infantry Regiment along with his two brothers, Green Pinkham DeFee and James McCulloch DeFee during the Civil War. Harmon would later transfer over to A Company.
He would leave Alabama after his father's estate was settled which lasted abt. nine years.
He and his brother Green and their families would all move together to Hunt County, Texas.
He and "Bendy" would have five sons and one daughter...Sadly Bendy passed away at a young age on 9 Jan 1884...She was born 19 May 1848. She is buried with Harmon in McWright Cemetery, Hunt Co, TX.
She was known as "Bendy"...Found that on the Georgia Census records..She is annotated as "Bendy" on the 1850 Harris County, Georgia Census. On the 1860 Harris County Census, she is listed as "S.F".

Harmon would later marry Ella Houston...They were married 3 Jun 1885, Hunt County, Texas.
Ella was born 6 Feb 1861 in Alabama, and died 1941, in Hunt Co, TX.From this union, Harmon and Ella had one son and one daughter. Ella is buried in East Mount Cemetery, Hunt Co, TX. Her two children, Tyus,(28 Jan 1886-1968) and Irene,(26 Nov 1889- 29 Dec 1889), are also buried here.

The children of Harmon and Bendy were:
John DeWilder DeFee,( 31 Jan 1870-8 Sep 1935), James Stephens DeFee,(2 Jan 1872- 1845), Asa Wellington,(12 Jan 1874-30 Aug 1973), Andrew Harmon DeFee,(18 Feb 1878-19 Mar 1921), Emma DeFee,(18 Feb 1878-12 May 1957), and Buford Earl DeFee( 26 Nov 1880-24 Dec 1918).. All are buried in Hunt County.
