Abbie Lee Neel, 83, of Colorado City died Tuesday at Kristi Lee Manor following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Glenn Roenfeldt, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Colorado City and Reverend David McNary, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Loraine, officiating.
Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Born Addie Lee Wilson November 7, 1898 in Hopkins County she married Charlie Fulton Neel December 15, 1920 in Colorado City. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1974.
She was a resident of Mitchell County most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Loraine.
She is survived by five daughters, Vinnie Lee Compton of Colorado City, Ida Mae Compton of Lubbock, Irene Barr of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Charlene Ryan and Nellie Askins, both of Odessa; three sons, Emmett Neel of Pensacola, Florida, and Perry Neel and Arlie Jack Neel of Beltaney, Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
