He also owned the Toledo Speedway that was built in 1960 and sold it in 1970's and the Peewee's Inn wich he built into the former Abair's Restaurant, He retired in 1995.
Herbert was a member of Elks Lodge Toledo-53,
F.O.E.Aerie # 197,and the Wolf's Club.
He served his country in the U.S.Navy in World War ll.
He enjoyed cooking,travling to Las Vegas,NV.and his Vegetable garden.
