Died Friday, May 28 1993 at the Traverse City Community Hospital. Mrs. Brown was born September 22, 1918 in Allegan. She was the daughter of George and Laura (Punches) Clawson. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Friendly Neighbor Club. Surviving are her husband, Harry; 2 children and their spouses, Robert and Angeline Brown, of Allegan, Sandra and Dave Harnish, of Grandville; 11 grandchildren, Cathy, Jim, Chuck, Bruce, Kim, Rick, John, Karen, Jeremy, Adam, and Cheryl; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Ronald Clawson, of Otsego, and 2 sisters, Louise Pettit, of Allegan, Ruth Colburn, of Otsego; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Richard Brown and Janet Buist; and 1 brother, Robert Clawson. The family will receive friends today from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. at the Gorden Funeral Residence Hopkins Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rev. Father Jim Vinh Le, Celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Hopkins Area Educational Foundation.
