EL RENO --- Services for Robert E. "Petie" Palmer, 80, will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial in El Reno Cemetery. He died Tuesday in Park View Hospital.
Palmer was a native of Girard, Kan., and moved to El Reno in 1893. He was a Rock Island switchman and a member of the United Transportation Union. Palmer was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Thompson Gilbert, El Reno, two other nieces and a nephew.
