GALLIPOLIS, Ohio - Betty Lou Evans, 74, Gallipolis, died Thursday, July 12, 2001 at Holzer Medical Center.

Born March 15, 1927 in Cheshire, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Otto Thomas and N. Pearl Fulton Rothgeb. She was a homemaker, co-owner of Sunset Valley Farm and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane (Rucker) Neal.

Surviving are her husband, J. Tim Evans of Gallipolis; a son and daughter-in-law, Judge David T. and Beth Evans of Gallipolis; a daughter and son-in-law, Marty and Dr. Robert Huestis of Worthington, Ohio; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Verla Myers of Rodney, Ohio; and nephews and a niece.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Hughey Jones, Dr. Robert Ingram and the Rev. Jonathan Kollmann officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Gallipolis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the J. Tim and Betty Evans Scholarship Fund, in care of the University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande, Ohio 45674.
