His body severed beneath the wheels of a freight train, George Daker, 6003 Halsted st., 22 years old, a switchman, was killed instantly at 3:30 o'clock Saturday morning. The engineer of the train reported the death which occurred in the Illinois Steel company yards, 3426 East 89th st. The inquest will take place January 4 at the Thos. Murphy Undertaking establishment 3261 92nd st.
Surviving are a wife and a two-year-old son, George, the man's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Daker, a brother, John T., and a sister, Elizabeth.
Funeral services took place Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the father's residence, 6903 Prairie ave., to St. Columbanus church. Interment was in Mt, Olivet cemetery.
