Doris N. (Blunt, West) McQuisten, 84 of Springfield passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011. Doris was born March 29, 1927 in Springfield, MO to Olin and Grace Blunt.

Doris married Lester West, June 14, 1947 and 3 children were born to this marriage. Lester preceded her in death. In June, 1977 she married Sam McQuisten, who also preceded her in death.

Doris lived in Springfield all her life. She attended, was saved and baptized at Boulevard Baptist Church in Springfield at a young age. Doris retired from Lily Tulip. She loved her family, family gatherings, keeping her home spotless, working in her yard, watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball, and shopping. Doris loved to decorate her homes. She loved her STUFF.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Doris was preceded in death by her three brothers, Bertrum, Winton, and Bill Blunt; her infant daughter, Carol Jean and a step-daughter, Pattie Armitage.

Doris is survived by her son, David West and wife, Pam; her daughter, Janna Conway and husband Mike; step children, Bob McQuisten and Beverly Hodges; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Doris also leaves behind many friends and loved ones; especially her friend and sister-in-law June Blunt whom she loved very much.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield with interment to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 21, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Doris's family has many memories of her that they will cherish forever:
