Delbert O. Barnes, of Bristol, beloved husband of Ruth (Hinkel ) Barnes ,died on Wednesday ( November 16,2011 ) at countryside Manor.Del was born on March 10,1917 and was a son of the late Benjamin and Margaret ( Bowmaster ) Barnes A longtime Bristol resident.he served in the United States Air Force in the Pacific during world war II.He worked for C&SMotor co.Forestville,and General Electric before retiring in 1980.He was a member of the Brostol fish and Game club and the Wolcott Landowners Association.Delbert leaves several nieces and nephews .He was predeceased by two brothers,Burton and Cedric Barnes and five sisteres,Vera Brown ,Alice Kimball,Rita Bartlett,Florence Brimigion, and Gladys Powers,Funeral services will be held Saturday ( November 19,2011 ) at the Barnes Memorial Chapel 49 Pound st,Bristol with Military Honors,Burial willm follow in the west cemetery in Bristo..
