"FAWN GROVE WOMAN CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY. Mr. and Mrs. George Channell, of Fawn Grove, entertained the following on Sunday, in honor of Mrs. Channell's 68th birthday: Mr. and Mrs. Howard Channell, W. G. Swarck, Miss Leah White and Irene Dunnick, Harrisburg; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Seitz and children, Hazel, Norman and Everett, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Seitz and children, Herman and Janice, Mr. and Mrs. Webster Heaps and son, Royston, Miss Gertrude Osborne, Arby Blevins, Gene Osborne, Virgil Heaps and Joe Osborne, Norrisville, Md.; Mr. and Mrs. William Channell and son, Samuel, Mr. and Mrs. Vallie Channell and sons, George, Richard and Eugene, all of Fawn Grove."

"The (York) Gazette and Daily" published an obituary for Elizabeth Channell on April 14, 1937.

"Mrs. George W. Channell Dies. Mrs. Elizabeth Ferry Channell, wife of George W. Channell, died at 4:50 p.m. today at her home, this place. She was 73 years of age. Death was due to a complication of diseases and followed a year's illness. Besides her husband, Mrs. Channell is survived by the following sons and daughters: William, this place; Clarence, Denver, Colo.; Howard, Harrisburg; Albert and Harry, Baltimore; Vallie, Havre de Grace, Md.; Mrs. Edith Wise, Owings Mill, Md.; and Mrs. Violetta Bryan, Baltimore. Also surviving are three half-sisters and one half-brother, as follows: Mrs. Amanda Miller, York; Mrs. Hannah Harding, Texas, Md.; Mrs. Sadie Harmon, Cockeysville, Md.; and J. E. Knopp, Rocks, Md. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at the W. H. Webb funeral home here by Rev. J. Glaison Eaton, pastor of the Fawn Grove Methodist Protestant church. Interment will be made in Fawn Grove cemetery."
