Mr. Alderman has always lived on his farm near Barnum until twelve years ago, when due to failing health, he moved to his present home in Barnum.
Amos, as he was called, was united in marriage on January 9, 1890 to Mrs. Emma (Gibbs) Alderman. Emma was previously married to Clinton Alderman, a brother to Amos. Emma already had two children, Irvin and Daisy Alderman.
Amos and Emma had three more children, all dying in infancy. Emma passed away in April of 1898.
Later on April 26, 1909, Amos married Alice (Turner) Champion. Alice was previously married to Elmer Valentine Champion and to that union three daughters were born, Bessie, Elma and Myrtle Champion.
Amos is survived by his wife, Alice, and his step children; Bessie Yonker, Elma McKnight, Myrtle Rounds, Irvin Alderman and Daisy Hankins and a sister Anna Meyers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Laura and Zelpha and three brothers, James, Clinton and George Alderman.
