Marvin was born on a farm near Sisseton SD.He was one of eight children.born to Anton Olauson and Anna Nicholson(Olauson) He took basic training at Camp McCain Mississippi in the US Army.There he met Annie Pearl Reynolds of Grenada, who would later become his wife.While stationed in Puerto Rico, after a night on the town, he tripped and fell at a construction site and broke his leg. This caused him to have a noticeable limp there after.After his discharge from the Army he settled in Seattle Wa.There he Married Annie Pearl.They have one Daughter Sandra Kay. Marvin worked in the Insulation business for over 20 years.Then he worked at Boeing Aircraft for several years.After cutbacks there he worked for the Edmonds School District as a custodian.Failing health caused him to stop here.He died peacefully at the hospital in Ballard near where he had lived since Feb,,14,1958 he died from pneumonia.He is survived by his wife Ann,daughter Sandra Kay Miller,two grand sons Richard Miller and Michael Miller of Ballard,sisters Evelyn Schmaus of Seattle,Helen Gahlhoff of Packwood Wa.,a brother Donald of Volga SD, his aunt Mable Nicholson of Kelowna B.C.Canada,sisters-in law,Bernice Olauson of Seattle and Hazel Olauson of Watertown SD.He was preceeded in death by his father, mother and brothers, Arnold,Johnny, Nels and Oliver.
