He was taken prisoner and was made a prison in Stalig 1 in Germany. He was released by the Allies at the end of the War. Regretfully, the scars and rememberances of the War stayed with him during his later life.
Upon returning to civiliam life in Cleveland, he married his sweetheart, Louise Hawk, and together they bore four wonderful children, Arthur, Janice, Lois and Jeff. He was very proud of his family.
He and Louise spent many years together and became aclimated to "old age and retirement".
Jim will always be remembered by all as a very gentle, but firm man.
