He served in the United States Army during WW II and also served in the United States Navy Reserves.
He was a Barber for fifty-three years and enjoyed raising cows and farmed to provide for his family. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, two daughters, two brothers, two sisters, an aunt, 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 13 great great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Timothy A. Aldrich.
