The Rev. William Grover Weber, 94, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, near Leonore, from 1923-1929, died on January 9. Services at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Tama, Iowa, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tama.

Born on January 12, 1893, near Moundville, Missouri, he was the son of William and Lutie Belle (Hubbell) Weber. He married Maria Wetengel on June 19, 1921. She died on May 18, 1977.

Surviving are one daughter, Margaretta (Mrs. C.H.) Schakel, of Farmington, Iowa; four sons, Immanuel, Cornelius, William, and Simon; three sisters, Mary, Cleffie, and Martha; and two brothers, Curtis and Lewis.

He serviced parishes in Harvel, Bartonville, and Tonica, Illinois; and Kellogg, Lost Nation, Sheffield, Elkport, Rockford, and Hedrick, Iowa.

He retired on August 31, 1961.

W.G. Weber, 93, died on Friday at the Keosauqua hospital following a lengthy illness.

He had served as a pastor at Kellogg, Lost Nation, Sheffield, Elkport, Rockford, and Hedrick Lutheran Churches.

Survivors include four sons, Immanuel of Marshalltown, Cornelius of Cincinnati, Ohio, William of Billings, Montana, and Simon of Nixa, Missouri; one daughter, Margaretta Schakel of Farmington; two brothers, Curtis and Lewis; three sisters, Mary, Cleffie, and Martha; grandchildren; and great grand-children.

Services at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Tama, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, rural Tama.
